Why Food Security Matters?
Food security is not just about having enough food—it’s about having access to safe, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food that meets dietary needs for an active and healthy life. Globally, 1 in 9 people are undernourished, and around 690 million people suffer from hunger, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
This stark reality highlights the urgent need to address food insecurity and malnutrition, which have profound impacts on health, education, and overall well-being.

What's Inside a Food Pack?
Each carefully curated food pack contains an average of 56.77 kilograms (125 pounds) of food, designed to provide essentials to a family of 5-7 people for one month.
Our packs include staples such as:
- Rice
- Lentils
- Wheat
- Sugar
- Canned meat
- Fish
Additionally, we include culturally relevant ingredients, ensuring that recipients can prepare nutritious and satisfying meals.
These items are sourced locally whenever possible, supporting local livelihoods and economies while ensuring high-quality products reach those in need.

Our mission is to do humanitarian work differently. HDF exists to aid, assist and develop children living in the most vulnerable conditions to become self-sustaining and to live outside of the cycle of poverty.
